Yee Haw in the Straw Posted July 28, 2010 Severe storms earlier in the week made for a messy show Sunday afternoon at Waukesha County Fair. It was looking like it might be like Woodstock, KMC style! Mud covered the ground inside the Leinie Lodge, so wet and mucky...splashed up the backs of legs, sunk underfoot, and ate a shoe or two causing some in the crowd to go barefoot! The fair park staff brought straw, not hay - ask Adam to tell you the difference - and put it down to help with the massive mud problem - Thanks! Still, the tables were full as most fans stayed in their seats and only a few brave souls came out to dance. A couple of those brave souls were celebrating! KMC photographer, Jeni and audio engineer, Tony, affectionately dubbed Road Hammer, celebrate twelve years of marriage! Last year, Road Hammer called Kerry and set up a surprise for Jeni, this year she called Kerry to set up a surprise for him, only Kerry took it a step further and surprised them both! Kerry wrote a new song - we think it's going to be called "This Way" - for and about the happy couple! After serenading them with the acoustic tune, she presented them with a recording of their song! Kerry also sent out Birthday wishes and sang another couple's wedding song! |
