Kerry and the boys rocked out two great shows this weekend with stops at South Shore Frolics and Evergreen Campsites & Resort! Friday got off to a rocky start with THREE Kinnickinnic Parks in Milwaukee, some of the members ended up at one of the wrong ones before making it over to the correct meeting place...never fear, there was plenty of time to get to Bay View, Roadhammer always plans to be early! His other half, on the other hand, had made a big mistake and didn't even know it yet...a bag was missed when packing up for the show, the one containing the set lists! With only five minutes to show time, set one was placed on the stage, while the rest were written out backstage and again the day was saved! Sunny skies shown brightly overhead as the show went off without any more glitches.
Did you see us on the news? Channel 12 filmed a portion of the show as part of their coverage of the Frolics...good thing he missed it when Jeni got up from one of the park benches and it fell apart beneath her! Is that what she gets for forgetting the set lists? Just a little embarrassment, and since she's the photographer, thank goodness, no pictures!
To our Facebook fans, Kerry and Adam told the crowd, "Please, stalk us on Facebook!" and "We encourage all forms of stalking, we like it...it takes us a while to get that restraining order, we'll let you know."
Well, hopefully they got their wish. The crowd cheered them back on stage for an amazing encore! We're told, we'll be back next year...only time will tell.
The next day the group packed up for a longer trip. Caravanning through torrential rains to Wild Rose for a return engagement at Evergreen Campsites, the band ALMOST had to pull off the road for lack of visibility and a bit of hydroplaning! The band and crew arrived to a somewhat flooded campground with water logged sites and knee high standing water around the playground, but it was mostly dry in the game room where all the action was set to be. By showtime the sun shown once again and happy campers danced from the first song to the last! One of those campers was KMC fan, Lynette who came to celebrate her birthday KMC style! Thanks Lynette and Happy Birthday!! After the show, Jim Button finally came out to play. Due to the duties of a busy business owner, he had to miss the whole show, but was happy to hear that it went even better than last year...and just like last year Kerry signed his arm! We're calling it the annual autographing, he says it's annual til he gets it tattooed there permanently!
Get your autograph! Catch us July 25 at the Leinie Lodge at Waukesha County Fair!
