It was a good thing those New Year's hangovers had time to wear off! January 2nd The KMC Band rolled in to Rubicon for what just might have been the last KMC show at The Ranch! (Due to a change in ownership.) It was a doozy! Kerry was fresh from her trip to Florida, where it was 80 degrees and sunny everyday she was there. Too bad she neglected to bring that warmth back with her! (Adam had a chance to try it out for himself on vacation after the show, but instead took the cold weather along with him to Disney! Oops!)
Mike and Char Martin of Heartfield Farm brought the party with them, LITERALLY, by planning their annual Holiday Party to coincide with the show and bringing in what seemed like a horse trailer full of food! Thanks Mike & Char, we're so glad the whole party had a KMC good time!
The great music and good times didn't stop the "gremlins" from making an appearance...they created all sorts of technical difficulties, mostly with the band's in-ear monitors...at one point going out completely in the middle of a song, the crowd on the dance floor froze mid-step til the music started again to raucous cheers! No way "gremlins" are putting a stop to our show! The party MUST go on and it sure did, ALL NIGHT LONG!
Rubicon Ranch, we wish love and luck to the current and incoming ownership! We've enjoyed every night we've played for you and your patrons and hope you bring live music back to bar soon! We'll miss ya!
Since the show we've had a couple of birthdays! Happy Birthday to Bogie (1/6) and Adam (1/8)! A great big Happy Happy to you both, hope your birthdays were rockin!
